Dia Speiro is a body of work which explores the Greek diaspora within England, acting as a visualisation of my grasps with personal heritage and cultural identity. Such themes have been addressed through diverse imagery including natural scenes, Greek Orthodox symbolism, antique statues and conceptual portraiture. This project invites viewers to contemplate the complexities of diasporic experiences and has allowed me to creatively express myself on the journey of questioning my mixed cultural identity.
