ABOUT
Eleni Markopoulos is a multidisciplinary artist and educator, currently based in the UK.
Her personal projects, often focusing on the human connection to nature and explorations of cultural heritage, examine themes of identity and belonging through visual representations of connection. Drawing inspiration from the early pioneers of pictorialism, her work seeks to elevate the everyday, capturing moments that evoke a quiet, timeless beauty.
Her practice is rooted in the belief that, despite the rapid evolution of visual technology, there remains an intrinsic value in the tangible and tactile. By merging current and traditional techniques, she creates work that reflects the essence of both historical and contemporary influences.
